Wednesday 4/22 – Arrival
Welcome Reception & Check-in 5-8pm
- Pick up conference bas and programs at the museum.
- Enjoy wine, light snacks and a chance to explore the historic whaling ship Lagoda (the largest ship model in the world).
Thursday 4/23 – Presentations
Registration opens early, with Welcom and morning Keynote follwed by presentations through the day.
- During morning break – weather permitting we would like to get a group photo.
- 3:30-5pm visit The New Bedford Fishing Heritage Museum
Located next door to the Whaling Museum.
Friday 4/23 – Presentations
Once again registration opens early, with Keynote and presentations all day.
- Happy Hour 5-7pm
Moby Dick Brewing Co. – a short walk from the Museum.
Includes one drink ticket + cash bar.
Saturday 4/25 – Industry Day
In the morning we will begin Industry Day with a possible local scalloping related local tour in the afternoon and free time to explore Historic New Bedford in the late afternoon.
Sunday 4/26 – Field Trip
Included in your registration is a fieldtrip to the New England Aquarium and Cruise on Boston Harbor.
8:15am Depart – meet in front of the Fairfield Inn & Suites (185 MacArthur Dr.)
Return approximately 5:00pm
Dinner at The Black Whale Restaurant.
Monday 4/27 – Presentations + Banquet
Keynotess, presentations, Poster Happy Hour and a special Local fare Banquet
- Happy Hour (6-7pm) & Lobster Banquet (7-11pm) at the Whaling Museum
(Please notify us as soon as possible if you have dietary restrictions) - The workshop officially concludes Monday evening after the banquet
