Presenter Instructions

Computer Requirements

  • IPW and the museum (NBNW) operate on PC/Windows based systems and require that presenters use provided equipment.
  • Computer/Laptops with Microsoft Office Suite and HDMI connection capabilities will be provided.
  • Built-in projector and screen with audio capability to play video and/or sound are available in the Harbor View Gallery and Coo Memorial Theater. Advanced testing, especially of video playback is strongly recommended.
  • Public wireless internet is available throughout the museum. The public wifi network is “NBNW Public“. Please see IPW staff or check-in registration desk for wifi password during the event.

Presentation Requirements

  • Digital presentations must be pre-loaded onto the conference computer prior to your session

  • A dedicated upload computer will be available at the registration table. 
    NO PERSONAL COMPUTERS OR USB STICKS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR PRESENTATIONS.

  • Presentations may be brought in on a USB drive/stick on the day of registration.
  • You may send presentations in advance, using file transfer platforms such as www.wetransfer.com or google drive.

  • File size for PowerPoint should not exceed 100MB. If your presentation includes a lot of .jpeg images, it is possible to reduce their size or DPI (72 or 96 is adequate for a PowerPoint presentation) to reduce the size of the PowerPoint file. Compress videos to ensure best play-back quality and load times.
