The International Pectinid Workshop, begun in 1976, welcomes all individuals with an interest in scallops to join the 24th edition of the workshop at the Whaling Museum in historic New Bedford, Massachusetts. This is a unique opportunity to experience the Museum and the city that maintains the largest commercial scallop fleet in the world.

A Half Century of Scallop Research
For 50 years, the International Pectinid Workshop has been at the forefront of scallop research, bringing together experts from around the globe to share insights and foster innovation. This milestone event continues to honor our commitment to advancing the understanding of scallop biology, ecology, aquaculture, fisheries, management, reproduction, physiology, genetics, economics, and all things scallops.
We encourage all individuals involved with pectinids to submit an Abstract for inclusion as an oral or poster presentation at the workshop.
Since its inception, the workshop has served as a pivotal platform for scientists, researchers, industry professionals, and managers to exchange knowledge and drive progress in the field of scallop studies. Join us as we celebrate our rich history and look forward to future discoveries.
In addition to the scientific program, there will be an Industry Workshop and the usual array of social events, field trips and comradery.
