A Half Century of Scallop Research

For 50 years, the International Pectinid Workshop has been at the forefront of scallop research, bringing together experts from around the globe to share insights and foster innovation. This milestone event continues to honor our commitment to advancing the understanding of scallop biology, ecology, aquaculture, fisheries, management, reproduction, physiology, genetics, economics, and all things scallops.

We encourage all individuals involved with pectinids to submit an Abstract for inclusion as an oral or poster presentation at the workshop.

Since its inception, the workshop has served as a pivotal platform for scientists, researchers, industry professionals, and managers to exchange knowledge and drive progress in the field of scallop studies. Join us as we celebrate our rich history and look forward to future discoveries.

In addition to the scientific program, there will be an Industry Workshop and the usual array of social events, field trips and comradery.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you in New Bedford in April, 2026.
